We were asked to build a good value, budget home for a Western/Thai couple on their plot of land near Ao Nang. After meeting with them and discussing their needs our architect drew up plans based on their design, requirements and also their budget.
Not everyone needs or wants a luxury home and for many people enjoying the simple life in Thailand also means they have no need for a large, expensive house to maintain. They just need somewhere cool, safe, quiet and easy to look after.
Construction of a small house will usually take under 3 months from start to finish, the photos below were taken over an 8 week period. Larger homes take from 4-6 months to complete.
